The atmosphere here is just what you need on a good holiday. Many guests have told us it is in fact very homely (in the British sense of the word), very friendly and really comfortable. You wont find a nicer place to stay around here, certainly at these great prices.

Also the road we are locate on, called St Mary's, is very much a residential street with a few bed and breakfasts on. So this mean you will be ion a nice quiet area and will be able to get a really great nights sleep because of that.

All of the bedrooms here are spacious. We want you to feel at home and you cant feel at home when you don't have room to swing a cat. They are all decorated in warm colours which add to the feel of the place. You could in fact quite easily stay with us for a romantic weekend if that is what you are looking for. Have a look at the rooms pictures below and you will see what I mean.

Staying with us will put you in a good spot to really get to know the city. You will be close to a lot of traditional neighbourhood Pubs. So you're going to get a genuine sense of the area when you stay here with us. There is also real easy access to the city on foot. York Minster is 500 yards away. Bootham Bar an entrance to the city walls is 5 minutes walk away (340 yards). The museum gardens are only 4 minutes away as well.

Our returning guests will tell you the atmosphere we provide is one of a home away from home. We like to think that what we like in a hotel or guest house is what we have here for you. Comfortable, friendly, good service, good local information and that certain je ne cest qua We are a totally non smoking establishment. We have ample parking available to staying guests in the car park just behind the establishment.
