Located in the Clifton area of the city, we are approximately 600 metres away from the fabulous Medieval Walls of York. A warm and welcoming atmosphere awaits in our reasonably priced bed and breakfast hotel in York.

A family run establishment we , you are more of an invited house guest when you stay at Blossoms. All of our rooms are en-suite and after a hard days exploring why not stop for a cosy chat in our lounge bar. Value for money and good service are what we pride ourselves in. With this in mind and the short walk to all of the cities restaurants pubs and shops, why look anywhere else?

Good stuff: Calm and quiet.

Bad stuff: No problem except that lighting of the room can be improved and more channel facilites can be given on the TV.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: the hotel was absolutely fine except for the bed. OK if you like a hard bed.

Good stuff: Very friendly greeting when we arrived. Situation was great for walking in to the city centre.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: We opted for a budget double room, so we were expecting anything!! what we got was a very friendly and helpful welcome, including lashings of tea.A tiny room right up in the attic of the house, with everything that was needed ( double bed,shower, loo, sink, kettle etc) fitted into the smallest of spaces.It was well situated just a small walk into the centre of York.Good breakfast. All in all excellent value for the non fussy budget traveller.

Good stuff: Accomodations were small in relation to American hotel standards but the room was very clean and neat. It served the purpose :) The staff at the hotel were excellent in assisting us in locating our luggage that was lost for 3 days by the airlines. Thank you for that.

Good stuff: Excellent staff and great value for money

Good stuff: Good directions provided, so it was easy to find; we were expected and directed straight away to parking for the bikes - and then given a cup of tea. A great welcome!

Bad stuff: Good that we travel with ear plugs against traffic noise, but it wasn't that bad - not much flowed past outside before 0630.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Good value, 5 mins from York Minster.

Good stuff: clean, soft beds, helpful young men at the desk.

Bad stuff: second night very noisy neighbors (we were in rm 7, they were in 8.)

Good stuff: A comfortable hotel, close to York's walls and the Minster. A very good choice!

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The Blossoms Hotel, York, which I found and chose from surfing the Internet, definitely lived up to my expectations. It is a comfortable hotel, with character and an excellent breakfast and very convenient for visiting the tourist places of interest within York's ancient city walls, being only about 10 minutes walk away. When I visit York again, I will certainly return to the Blossoms and will recommend it to any friends in Hong Kong who plan to visit York. A most enjoyable stay.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The hotel is a located at a convenient walking distance from the old town and the train station. The room was comfortable and the hotel quiet.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Close to city centre. Some sites can be misleading. This one was entirely correct about its locality. The car park is very tight and I had to disturb other visitors to move their car to enable me to leave the hotel. My concern was if they had gone out I would have been disabled until their return. Overall, the accommodation serves its purpose. The staff are friendly and approachable.

Good stuff: It was clean and close to the city centre.

Bad stuff: The shower was insufficietly powerful, the beds uncomfortable and the room decoration dated.

Good stuff: friendly atmosphere, caring and helpful staff, good location (close to city centre), easy booking, check in and out and spacious room.

Bad stuff: the room would have done with more bluging (I had to turn off TV each time I made coffee), more decoration, less number of bed (I know I have chosen it but it was spacious so I comprimised with the too many beds around)

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: It was good, the fact that the staff were helping and friendly and had enough information about the city helped to make our stay fruitfull.
