Your rooms here are elegantly decorated to look homely and comfortable. There is a high level of cleanliness throughout the establishment which we take pride in. They have basic furnishings including your obligatory comfy bed of course. Some of the rooms are very spacious, while others are more compact but, not small.

We offer you rooms at very low prices for the quality you get. This is done by the owners doing most of the work here themselves. For you this also will mean a very personal service. In fact it has been said that at breakfast the staff are concerned with nothing apart from making you happy a guest. Pretty good attitude if you ask me.

This is a great location to stop at. There are a number of attractions that are within easy walking distance of us. This includes the fabulous Rowntree Park. A stroll down here to the East will take you only 3 minutes to cover the 150 yards or so. You can then enjoy the parks features and even walk down to the river Ouse. A walk along the riverside will take you strait into the centre of York.

You will also find the York Walls very near to us. Strait down the road, North of us, you will find them. After about 700 yards you will be able to see them rise up in front of you. You are able to take a walk along the wall from the steps a little further around the corner of Skeldergate.

Lastly a little further North, also within easy reach are both Cliffords Tower and the Castle Museum. These are in a single location, separated by a car park. It will take you about 15 minutes to walk the 1000 yards to this major tourist attraction. You could not ask for better. A walk into town from our front door leads you into and past 3 of the main sights on York.
