York is a very compact city. From our location, its attractions are easy to get to on foot. The Roman, Viking and Medieval history of the city awaits you. A walk into town through Micklegate, 2 minutes walk away will get you started. This is the main. entrance to the city through the walls used by the Royal family and other dignitaries. A walk down the street will give you plenty of nice olde world pubs to choose from and plenty of restaurants too. A good place to stop of a pint and a curry

The Knavesmire race course is quite close to us. We are positioned between the racecourse and the town centre. What that means is you can do everything and anything you want with ease, using us as your base.
