This splendid historic terrace is next to the river and the footpath that runs beside it. A quiet residential area within 300 metres of the Yorkshire Museum.

Take refuge with us in this quiet guest house by the river. The perfect place to get away from it all. We are also near enough to the city centre and attractions at make exploring and getting to them easy and quick.

The rooms here are those of your typical Victorian terrace made into a comfortable bed and breakfast. Some of them offer a lovely view over the river form the windows. We are told by many of our guests that, "The beds are very comfortable indeed." This has been the way of things here for a while and will be so long into the future. We want to make sure you really enjoy your stay with us at the Riverside.

We offer you a great breakfast as well. We use fresh local ingredients when ever available to cook you up a good portion of traditional England every morning. We also offer a delightful continental selection for those of you who enjoy that sort of thing.

This is a perfect choice for those of you who are here to explore the splendid shops York has on offer. A short walk takes you into the vibrant and busy little city centre. Walk to and from the multitude of boutiques, arms full of shopping is easy from here. Also you might just enjoy the market place which is right in the city centre. Indulge yourself in a real feel of the city by getting to know how the locals shop and what they buy here.

When it is time for lunch and or a late meal, York city centre has it all on offer for you. The cities restaurants have long been highly regarded in the county. Anything from a quick sandwich, maybe a cake and high tea, a sumptuous or romantic meal are all on offer.

Your hosts are glad to advise you on what to see and where to go. They know the city well and are very pleased to share some of that knowledge with you. So when you want to know where to get the best quality food at the best prices, do not hesitate to ask. This goes for anything that you desire while you are staying.
