Our location is a good one for those visiting and wanting to see the city attractions in all their glory. Getting to the city is easy either on bus or as most people do from here on foot. The get to the city walls is a shorty walk of about 6 minutes strait down the road.

To get into the city centre is a little further but, not much. It should take you under 15 minutes to arrive in the shopping mecca that is the city centre. On the way there of course you will be passing by Clifford's Tower (the keep to York Castle) and the Castle Museum.

Getting to and from the centre is simple and there are several ways to do it. The first and most loved method is to take a walk along the pathway down by the River Ouse. To get there is easy it is strait out of the front door here, carefully across the road, down residential New Walk Terrace and turn right. If you follow this pathway all along the river you will end up right in the heart of York. Second you can simply walk down Fishergate, the road we are on and at the end of it you will see the walls. You can go through the walls here and you will be able to track down Dick Turpin, who is buried nearby. Lastly there are numerous buses that run from just up the road.
