Rarity Restaurant Steak and Seafood York Seafood Restaurant - ReviewsMelanie Hoff emailed these comments in: We found it quite difficult to find a seafood restaurant in York at first but then came accross Rarity. This restaurant specialises in steak and seafood, which at first I thought was a bit of an odd combination. However, after both men ordered steak and both women ordered seafood I realized it worked very well. Excelent Food:I had spiced Tomato Mussels followed by the whole baked sea bass tapenade, both cooked to perfection and definately the tastiest mussels I had ever eaten. Both men ordered different carpetbag steaks. One was filled with horseradish and stilton and the other, king prawns and smoked salmon. Both were excelent. Atmosphere:The decor is very classy cream and deep red, with a slight 30s influence. The lighting low and moody. This made for quite a romantic experience. Next time we visit York, this is the first restaurant on our agenda. Please mention Hotels in York Ltd website when you call. Thanks. Rarity Restaurant
