Good stuff: location, food, car parking.staff friendly

Bad stuff: the air conditioning very noisy and could not be turned off.

Overall: very good value will be returning

Bad stuff: We had 2 rooms for the family booking but they were separated by 2 floors. As we had booked well in advance I would have expected them to be adjacent. The smaller room had the extra bed to make it a triple....it would have been better to put up the extra bed in the larger room. It was a shame the reception was in the very ordinary entrance. The pictures on the web suggested a grand, sweeping staircase....which was there, but you had to look for it!

Overall: O.K. but I had expected a little more style!

Good stuff: The hotel and bedroom are very well decorated and very conveniently located for walking directly into York Town Centre

Bad stuff: A lack of attention to small details. Noisy bedroom.

Overall: We were not warned that the suite was on a busy road with no double-glazing - very noisy. Also, the room was newly decorated and had a very strong smell of paint so the windows had to be left open over night which made it even noisier. The entrance door to the hotel is direclty below the Admiralty Suite and reverberated through the entire bedroom and bed everytime anyone went through the door - In all, a terrible room to try and get any rest in!!!!
