We are well placed near to the centre and train station. Beautiful ensuite rooms with modern amenities and a relaxing atmosphere are on offer at the Grafton.

Finding us from the train station is simple it will take you about 12 minutes following these directions. Exit the station and take a left turn onto East Parade. Continue along until you reach the mini roundabout. Here go left again onto Bower Road. Continue along here and cross over the road. Next you turn right into Mayfield Grove. Look for Mayfield Place and turn left into it. Carry on up to the end of this where it veers slightly right and turns into Franklin Road. Along here on your left you need to turn into the road we are on which is Franklin Mount. A few yards up here on the left you will see our pebbled drive and front doors. Welcome!

Harrogate is the most renown of spa towns in Yorkshire. Since you are visiting why not spoil yourself with some health and beauty treatments. Try a bit of detox, revive, relax and end up glowing and refreshed. Now you are ready for a little gentile shopping. Head right for the centre where you will find boutiques with the latest fashions, jewellers and accessory stores. Browse around the arts, crafts, books and artisan shops and stock up on some fine foods, special wines and beers before you leave.

Staying here means you can visit nearby attractions with ease. 16 minutes (0,8 miles) Southwest if us are the grade II listed Valley gardens. On the way there you can visit Royal Pump Room Museum and the Mercer Art Gallery too. One single walk and you can say you have done Harrogate when you get home!

A bit of sight seeing might include nearby Knaresborough Castle and Viaduct, Spofforth Castle, Fountains Abbey and Ripon Cathedral. If you feel a little more adventurous then why not conquer the Brimhall Rocks with their dramatic formation and endless moorlands or find the hidden caves at How Stean Gorge.

Dining out in Harrogate isn't a problem with over 70 restaurants to choose from and including every cultural cuisine you can imagine.

Cafes, trendy bars and clubs combine with harmonious parks and gardens where you can stroll and forget the world a while - The Valley Gardens has tennis courts and mini-golf, Montpellier Gardens are filled with glorious flowers and The Stray is a 200 acre park area with woodland walks and wide open spaces. Plenty for all to enjoy.
