This delightful guest house is placed nicely within 10 minutes walk of York's glorious Medieval walls. You will understand why this place is very highly rated by previous guests as soon as you enter.Just a few minutes away from the restaurant mile of York, dining nearby is only a walk away.

The great position you will be in staying here puts you in easy reach of all the the city has to offer. The closest attraction to us is Bootham Bar which is 9 minutes walk away (1/2 mile) to the Southwest. It will be very easy to find this as all you have to do is go down our road, turn left and it will come into view as you walk into town. From here you can start the famous Walls walk around the city.

Just the other side of the road from here is the Art Gallery which has always got something worth seeing in it. A little further into town (150 yards / 3 minutes further), through Bootham Bar you will also get to the Minster easily. Also the Museum Gardens, a lovely botanical garden in the centre of the city is only 9 ,minutes walk South of our front door.

We have a really good review rating from other who have stayed here. The reasons for that are simple. We do our very best to make sure you are extremely comfortable and well looked after. We cook you up a storming breakfast each morning and people really like that on holiday. Our beds are to die for with a very high level of comfort for you. The host is a real charmer and nothing is to much trouble. If there is anything you need that you cant find or see, ask and we will try our best to help.

We are very well placed for those choosing to dine out in the city. There is something called the restaurant mile in York and we are just 700 yards away from where that starts. From just outside the walls on Bootham the restaurant mile runs through Bootham Bar, down High Petergate and Low Petergate, up Grape Lane, down Swinegate, along Church Street into Kings Square, Then down the Shambles and along Pavement. Next you turn down Fossgate and just continue out of town the other side from where you started. Fossgate turns into Walmgate where you cross the river Foss and along at the end of this is Walmgate Bar and its Barbican.

Lets face it with the nearly 50 restaurants along this route your night out here is going to be a great one!
