This historic pub, restaurant and hotel is said to be where Guy Fawkes was born. Gothic look and feel abounds throughout this fabulous building. Inside the walls and near to many attractions we are just across the road from York Minster.

You could not get a better piece of history than choosing to stay here. The owners say this hotel is where the notorious highwayman Guy Fawkes was born. Oops no sorry wrong guy. The notorious anarchist who tried to blow up Parliament, Guy Fawkes is said to have been born here.

The Gothic look of the pub and restaurant you are in will give you a good idea of what history feels like here. But, you will be amazed to know that you can step out of the front door and see York Minster the other side of the road! Astounding locations like this don't come cheap! So if you are here to see a show this is the perfect spot. Where dining is concerned this is the perfect place as we are on the Restaurant Mile in the city, Up and down you will find great places to dine.
