Good stuff: We found Karen extremely helpful and cheerful.Absolutely beautifully kept clean. Breakfast tremendous and very importantly close to the city centre. Have already recommended it to a friend.

Overall: Wonderful, all four of us were very pleased. Accommodation was great and visiting the places of interest in the city were brilliant, enjoyed walking around the city wall. Excellent stay!

Good stuff: location and friendlyness of staff.

Bad stuff: The room we stayed in was room 6. In the morning you could hear every single word/scrape of cutlery on plates from the breakfst room.

Good stuff: It was as seen in the photograph, beautifully maintained and very clean and neat throughout. Nice breakfast each day and exceptionally friendly owners of the hotel, who made us welcome from the start.

Bad stuff: It was very hot in the room and when we asked for a fan, as stated in the welcome brochure any guests requiring a fan need just ask,we were told they did not have one as the one they had was being lent out. So more fans and the stay would have been perfect.

Overall: We had an excellent stay in all, the hotel was near enough to the city of York to walk everywhere, so no need for the car, but far enough away not to hear the nightime noises of the city. The accomodation was more than satisfactory our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, also very knowledgable about the area and things to do. The hotel was very personal and we stayed in the 4 poster room as a treat. You were given a key to the room and the front door and could come and go as you pleased. Overall brilliant and would not hesitate to recommend Acer to anyone.
