Micklegate Bar is in front of you and this is where your journey through history starts.

Located only 10 minutes walk from the railway station. Getting to us from there is simple following this detailed guide. Come out of the front door of the station and turn right onto Station Road. Walk up here and note the Fleetways taxi office on your right this is a good local firm to use. Veer around to the left until you come to Blossom Street traffic lights where you turn right.
You cant mistake where you are. To the left of you at these lights is the imposing Royal City entrance to the walls, Micklegate Bar. Also right in front of you at these lights is the working nunnery known as the Bar Convent.
