Secondly simply continue along the same direction up what is Goodramgate for more. You will pass by a number of good restaurants, traditional pubs many of which serve food and terrific small shops.

Thirdly and to finish off this small walk you can be at York Minster and the cobbled shopping street Stonegate in under 10 minutes. Could you ask for more?

This is a historic building in its own right that has had a grade II listing since 14th June 1954 according to English Heritage. It is made of Flemish bond brickwork. It was built originally in 1794 as part of a symmetrical pair, mirrored by no 37 next door, by William Walker. The history is still alive today for you to enjoy. So much so that in 1985 an dig by York Archaeological Trust took place here revealing some post medieval pottery.
