We are located close to the city centre of York and all of its wonderful attractions. When you stay with us you can be assured of a comfortable and friendly stay in a splendid family run establishment.

A stroll through Micklegate Bar is a lovely way to begin seeing the city. From here, down the hill over the bridge and into the centre where the many treasures of our cathedral city await you. Bad stuff: poor shower,lack of shelf space in bathroom,shaver light did not work.

Good stuff: Welcoming and friendly staff. Our young children were made very welcome. The hotel was clean and the rooms well provided with linen towels etc. A perfect location to enjoy York

Good stuff: Free car parking, female enjoyed lone, good quality, unhassled breakfast, adjustable thermostatic valve on radiator, comfortable bed.

Bad stuff: Poorly lit entrance at rear of hotel, unappealing cold room, Dated and dim lit bathroom, astounding amount of noise from other guests at 2am rolling in. Slamming doors. Very basic at every level.

Overall: Its not a Premier stay at any level of understanding, but it was a clean room although unappealing in every sense. Partner felt like a naughty schoolgirl been punished to the bad girls dorm upon entering the room, whereas I saw a bed,somewhere to sleep after a night out in York for a meal and drinks. Shockingly cold room on arrival and immediate thought was that we wished had tried to book the Premiere Inn at a sooner time. Relatively clean, friendly, accessible but dated, cold and un-nerving on first impressions. A different kind of overnight stay, but one nights enough without a welcoming room. Note to self- try to book Premier Inn sooner.

Good stuff: staff service was very friendly and good locality to york centre

Bad stuff: Traffic noise, small en suite room (too small for cost) insufficient beverages ie 4 tea bags

Overall: room was too small and traffic noise kept us awake !!!

Good stuff: good food, Clean, Friendly service

Bad stuff: Many flights of stairs to the top floor. Although we could have asked for a lower floor when booking.

Overall: What floor we would be on.Otherwise no problems.
