We are well located just to the West of the city walls. As you arrive you will enjoy the warm greetings. As you stay the home away from home atmosphere will come into its own.

From our central location you can walk to Micklegate, the Royal entrance to the city, quite easily. It is about a 1/2 a mile East-Northeast of us and should take you about 10 minutes to do. You can also quite easily get to the train station from here. It is a little further and more Northeast but, will still only take you 14 minutes or so to walk. Just turn left when you come to the walls, before you go through them and you can't miss it!

The rooms here have large very comfortable beds in them. Most of our guests form the past have told us this and we certainly aim to keep it that way for you. We make certain you have a very enjoyable and also stress-free stay with us.

The breakfasts here are impressive. That is because they are both filling and delishious. We know how much energy it takes for a visitor to see the city and each morning we cook up a feast that will suit your needs. You can of course simply have cereals, toast and coffee if that is your desire. However a full English no Yorkshire breakfast is one that we would highly recommend you try. No point in going out exploring on a empty stomach is there?

Delightfully steeped in history our ancient city has much to offer all visitors. Whether you enjoy horse racing, golfing, boating along the river, shopping or theatre there really is something for everyone here.

Walk the Roman walls and take part in a ghost hunt tour. Board a boat and take a trip down the river where you can view all of York City, sit out on the open sun decks, sip on something cool and refreshing and allow yourself to be magically transported. Take a floodlit evening cruise with that special someone.

Dine in style in numerous fine restaurants and charming cafes where you can relax over a leisurely lunch. Ancient streets of Grape, Petergate and The Shambles are full of old world charm and some exclusive shopping. Main shopping streets are Coney, Spurriergate and Parliament.

Museums of interest include the Art Gallery, Brewery, Castle, Farmers Market and Model Railway. Theatre goers delight in the Theatre Royal and the Grand Opera House.

York Minster and the Jorvik Viking Centre are vital visitor sights and the Minster is the largest Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe.

Reportedly the most haunted city in Europe why not go on a ghost hunt trip or visit the psychic museum on Stonegate.

You need to live here a lifetime to see everything - treasures and delights galore.
