This historic house is your home on the edge of town for as long as you wish. All the rooms are well furnished and delightfully adorned with fine paintings representing the historic origins of the hall. This decor is complemented by all the expected modern amenities and a few extras too.
Rooms here are very spacious. You can choose to stay in the main house, the eighteenth century classical courtyard, or in the adjacent cottage. All are equally delightful.
Comfort and luxury are evident throughout the house. Period antiques and paintings designed to reflect the elegance of the eighteenth century are visible throughout for your pleasure.
When you are here why not try a meal in the delightful Oak Room Restaurant. This is without doubt one of the most memorable dining experiences you can have in York. The oak panelled dining room is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, and has won a host of accolades for the quality of its food.
Venture into the gardens and savour the parks which have also been restored in the original style. Our visitors enjoy walks around the small lake, through the specimen trees, around the walled garden.
Business visitors might take advantage of 3 private dining rooms. Also a board room is available for meetings of up to 50.

My son and I very much enjoyed all the facilities of the spa. All staff were very helpful and polite. The room instructions need updating e.g.jeans in diningroom and robes not allowed to be taken to spa - spa staff say the opposite. |
