A 10 minute walk from here will get you to the Millennium Bridge which is the most modern of Yorks bridges spanning the River Ouse. A further 15 minute walk along here will get you into the city centre and also to Clifford's Tower which was the Keep of York Castle.

In the same direction as above to start with, then crossing over the river you can also walk to the Knavesmire which is York Racecourse. Both of these walks will take you about 25 minutes to complete.
