The most unique experience York has to offer for bed and breakfast awaits you at the Sidings. Your friendly host Sid offers converted Pullman train carriages for rooms with an excellent European cuisine restaurant.
Your amiable host Sid welcomes you to a most memorable and unique b&b near the city of York at the Sidings. Enjoy staying in comfortable, converted 20th century Pullman train carriage rooms, within sight of the working East Coast main line. Delight in the excellent meals available on-site at Il Trino Restaurant.
Our rooms are carriages that have been converted to comfortable rooms from a 20th century Pullman train. They have comfortable beds, splendid decor and all the usual facilities you would expect for a cosy and very unique experience.
The communal areas we provide include a lovely conservatory area that overlooks the train lines. Also incorporated is a bar area decorated with old train memorabilia, where you can relax after your meal with a drink and companions. On warm dry days we also offer breakfast and other meals and drinks alfresco, in the beer garden.
A visiting guest Kevin told us "This is perfect way to wind down after a long day. Thanks for the fabulous meal and I really enjoyed the time afterwards with a bottle of wine and my friends. I will be coming again soon."
Additionally a York resident said "My birthday party with you was a great and very memorable experience. Everyone I know has been talking about nothing apart from the Sidings ever since. We will see you again soon."
We are located with a short walk of the lovely Yorkshire village of Shipton-in-Beningbrough just outside York. Also only 6 minutes away there is the National Trusts Georgian mansion Beninbrough Hall for those who like to visit historic properties.
