Guests Name: Anonymous was travelling as Mature couple
Good stuff: The hotel was very easy to find and very conveniently located for all the amenities in York, and although it had only a small car park there was no difficulty in parking.
Bad stuff: Our stay would have been made more enjoyable if the female Reception and Dining room staff had smiled!
Overall: An enjoyable 2 days in a comfortable Hotel close to the City centre.

Good stuff: Only 5 minute walk to centre of York. Easily accessable from outer ring road. Plenty of places to drink/eat nearby.
Bad stuff: Parking is tight.

Good stuff: The accommodation was very good but didn't like the blankets on the beds. Thought by now all hotels would have duvets
Overall: Very good clean hotel with all facilities. Very near the centre of York and all the various places of interest. Restaurant was excellent value although we were the only diners.

Guests Name: Kevin was travelling as Solo business traveller
Good stuff: good value, fairly central, good facilities
Bad stuff: check cleanliness of room before occupancy - i had one dirty cup and workmans dust on some surfaces as a result of some decorating work taking place. However, still good value overnight stay.
Overall: Good value hotel close to centre, a 15 minute walk from the Station and only 5 minutes from main shopping areas. Limited but adequate parking. Opening windows in room !

Guests Name: Anonymous was travelling as Young couple
Good stuff: The room was spacious and nicely furnished
Bad stuff: The Restaurant wasn't open which was of particular disappointment due to a food intollerence
Overall: In an ideal location, this hotel seemed the perfect place for our night in York. We were disappointed at the restaurant being closed and the limited hours for breakfast (not being early birds). All in all the stay was a pleasant one but the hotel was a bit pricey.

Guests Name: MICHAEL was travelling as Family with young children
Good stuff: location, car park, bar and excllent breakfast
Overall: Within ten minutes walk of all the attractions of York, St Denys Hotel, with its own, if small, car park is ideal for families visiting York. The ensuite family room was clean and comfortable, and the relaxing bar area combined with the wide choice of freshly cooked breakfast available made for a very enjoyable stay.

Good stuff: breakfast was well prepared. rooms were clean and warm. was dissappointed that couldnt access room when arrived at 12.30 as noone had occupied previous evening. bar and communal areas had no service during the afternoon.
Bad stuff: mentioned dislike on previous section, sorry.
Overall: would have liked to known whether early check in available, and what facilities available if waiting to check in.

Guests Name: Edwin was travelling as Mature couple
Good stuff: Closeness to York City centre. Breakfast. Unobtrusive but friendly staff. Car parking.
Overall: Enjoyed it and would stay again. Found all I needed to know from the internet beforehand. Travel instructions might be better saying 'enter York from A64 exit # rather than mentioning the 'outer ring road' which is not marked as such on maps.
