The location of York Lodge is really good according to many of our previous guests. We are within a short walk (about 10 minutes) of Bootham Bar, the Northwest entrance gateway to York Walls. That also means going a few minutes further into the city will put you at the entrance of the splendid York Minster. From around the Minster you will easily be able to find numerous shops, cafe and lovely restaurants nearby. We believe this is one of the best value places to stay on this area and the area itself is a great location for you.

It's hard to find a better quality establishment, in this area, for such low prices. Your rooms here have everything you will need on your stay. We have all of the modern day feature you would expect. We also have a really quaint ambiance that is the envy of other much higher priced hotels nearby.

Finding your way into the city on foot is simple from us. As you walk out of the door here onto Bootham Crescent, turn left. Walk along here for 4 minutes and at the end of the road turn left again onto a road called Clifton (town end of A19). Walk along here for about 6 minutes and the walls can be seen strait in front of you. At the end of this walk you will be at Bootham Bar of the York City Walls. Across the road you can find a tourist bus stop and the Art Gallery. A little bit around the corner you can find the Theatre Royal. Through Bootham Bar and into the city for 4 minutes further walk will take you to York Minster.
