Here at the Acer, we are committed to providing you with the best service possible. We offer 6 bedrooms, all far larger than average and all are en suite.
When you arrive you are greeted and there is little ado as we book you in. We aim to please. We want to help. Just ask us and we will help if we can with a smile.
Your rooms here are kept as clean as we possibly can. You our guest would do the same. The high levels of cleanliness are a must for us too.
They feature a variety of delicious additional items to make your visit special. You may want to try out a room which has a four poster bed. No matter which room you ultimately choose, you'll savour the very softest bed linen. Our delightful furnishings and the luxurious bathrooms are another great treat here.
Each room also comes with a host of other touches, to make your stay with us as pleasant and relaxing as possible. You'll find trouser press and hairdryer, a welcome tray and plenty of luxurious toiletries waiting for you. And of course, we'll be setting you up for the day with a sumptuous English breakfast.
Our location is as perfect as our service! You'll find us a 11 minutes walk away (about 1/2 a mile) South from Micklegate Bar of the York Walls. It will take you a few minutes walk further from the railway station which is about 3/4 of a mile in the same direction. The city centre and its fabulous shops cafes restaurants and bars us about a mile from us. So not matter if your visit is for business, pleasure or romance, you will be close to some great things to see and do staying with us..
We are renown for the friendly nature of staff. They work hard but with a smile. You will also get a great meal in the morning for breakfast. Your room will also be spotless. It is something we pride ourselves on to your benefit.

Breakfast tremendous and very importantly close to the city centre. Have already recommended it to a friend. Overall: Wonderful, all four of us were very pleased. Nice breakfast each day and exceptionally friendly owners of the hotel, who made us welcome from the start. Bad stuff: It was very hot in the room and when we asked for a fan, as stated in the welcome brochure any guests requiring a fan need just ask,we were told they did not have one as the one they had was being lent out. So more fans and the stay would have been perfect. Overall: We had an excellent stay in all, the hotel was near enough to the city of York to walk everywhere, so no need for the car, but far enough away not to hear the nightime noises of the city. The accomodation was more than satisfactory our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, also very knowledgable about the area and things to do. The hotel was very personal and we stayed in the 4 poster room as a treat. You were given a key to the room and the front door and could come and go as you pleased. Overall brilliant and would not hesitate to recommend Acer to anyone. |
