This a a really good value for money choice in York. What makes us such good value is a number of things. The rooms, the staff, the facilities and of course the reasonable price we charge.
Your rooms here are of a good size. Being it is an 18th century building you would expect this. Georgian design was build for comfort and space, unlike the limited square footage of modern hotels.
The staff are well trained, warm and friendly. They are able to help you with most things and are quite happy top so so as well. Because we are not a huge place you will come into contact with the same staff often. They want to please and so hopefully will be smiling all the while. Many previous guests have complimented them on their good work attitude and skills.
The facilities you get here are that of a good quality establishment. Your comfort is foremost in our minds at all times. We want you too to be raving about us when you get home so everything you require should be on hand.
Staying here will put you in a great spot to enjoy the city centre. More concisely we are located about 200 yards from the city walls and 350 yards from York Minster.
This building is grade iI? listed and has been since 1954 according to English Heritage. Originally its 3 storeys with 3 bays were built in the mid 18th century. Its has a tastefully painted brick front and slate roof. Its' recorded period features included a bolection-moulded fireplace (Pevsner et al 1995) and turned balusters on an 18th century staircase. All are worth noting as you arrive and are shown in.
