Masons Arms in Fishergate York - Reviews of The Masons Arms PubKevin Ireson says: Every time I have been here I have always had a nice meal and a good pint. The management has changed a few times over the years, but that doesn't take away the atmosphere. There always seems to be nice folks running the place. The Masons Arms is a great place if you like good food and a good beer. The traditional pub menu that is available for lunch includes many nice dishes. The beer seems well kept with many brand names you will recognise. The place is generally clean and tidy. In winter it has an open fireplace which is very warming. I spent quite some time here over lunch as I had an office next door in the Fishergate Centre when I first opened up for business. Good place for lunch and also a quick get away from the office.
Also worth noting is they have have outdoor seating, in the front. I also understand they have seating at the back as well. However, the river was flooded while we were there, so we didn't get a chance to eat out there. Dean sent us a note saying: A friendly atmosphere, great helpful staff. I'll definitely go again next time I am in York Dave Williams emailed us saying : My family and I spent some time in the summer in York and ate at the Masons on two occasions. The food was first class not the usual frozen pub food. We had two girls aged 10 and 12 years they were allowed in until 9.30pm. All the staff were great as was the Black Sheep Ale. Sandy DiMascio emailed us to say: This place had the best pub food in all of England. Have recommended it to others and they agreed. Visited there in 1998 while son was teaching in Bilsborrow. Please mention Hotels in York Ltd website when you call. Thanks. The Mason's Arms
