The Golden Slipper York Pub in Goodramgate

I have family in York, and regularly come up to visit for either a long weekend or a week. The Slipper is wonderful. Fantastic staff and the best landlady in the world. The food is excellent too. This pub has something for everyone. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
This York pub is located on Goodramgate which is close to Monkbar. The slipper to me (webmaster speaking) is a very traditional town pub. Its feel and design has not changed in living memory and that has kept it warm and friendly. To many of the younger crowd this might not be quite what you are looking for in a York pub, but, to traditionalists and pub lovers it is a perfect plave to stop for a pint. |

The entrance has a couple of steps up to it which can be a challenge when you have a couple to many. A short corridor past runs past two rooms; one to the left (a snug), and one to the right (main front). This will bring you to the bar, which is also on your left. Once you have your drink in hand its time to enjoy the decore and ambiance. I hope you will enjoy it as much as the many times I have.
