Frankie & Bennys York Restaurant Clifton Moor

On my last visit here I decided to go on one of my crash diets. Well looking at the menu I felt that I might not be able to eat here but, then, I spotted the salads. Still worried the waiter asked for my order and I thought a seafood type salad would be healthy but "Can you put the dressing on the side?" He replied yes we can put in in a little container so that you can add as much as you wish to your salad sir we would be happy to do that. Great decision and it is great to see that restaurants in York can mean tasty and healthy!

Have been to eat hear a few times and always enjoyed it. Last visited with an accountant friend of mine David after he took a sneaky afternoon off .. (waves to David if he reads this) Good food and a good experience both for singles who like something more than a light lunch, great for couples and families too. Will say that sometimes the staff are a bit surly when it is busy, but if you make the right motions you can get what you want. The atmosphere is good with quite music anyone in their 30's to 80's will recognise. This restaurant can get busy on a weekend as it is right next door to the VUE Cinema Complex in Clifton Moor (formally Warner Cinema)

This is the perfect spot for a meal if you are going to see a film. The menu has a New York Italian style to it. The starters are nice and they do have a platter of stuff that 2 can share .. good fun food if you are with a friend maybe a bit chaotic if you are with the kids but still fun. Pizza, pasta, burgers, salads and a lot more too. The spaghetti and meatballs has a good flavour to it the caesar salad is good and crisp (maybe a touch to much dressing but that's american for you) Soft drinks when I was there were available in large size with no cost to refill.

Reasonable price to a meal, good service and makes a change to the usual italian with the New York feel and flavour.
