Sid, your friendly owner and his staff work hard to make your experience here a memorable one. Also there are special events such monthly Greek nights and other live music on Fridays.

Unique Relaxing and Memorable Dining - Alfresco in the Summer

Arriving at the Sidings will bring a smile to your face. A delightful oval drive, an evergreen garden in the middle with ample car parking at the front. Also you see converted Pullman carriage rooms jutting from each side of the main restaurant. Your welcoming patron, Sid is often front of house to greet you. Once inside you can savour the aroma of the meal to come. Additionally enjoy the decor that is reminiscent of an old Yorkshire village train station. Seating is offered in a splendid conservatory or, if it is warm and sunny, in the garden at the rear. So now you are seated and your menus have been offered, lets look at what's on offer food wise.

Menu: European Cuisine, Italian, Greek and English Dishes

All dishes are great value, freshly prepared meals made from fresh local ingredients where possible.

Starters: My choice was the Chef's chicken pate served with crusty bread. Also available are delicious classic Italian seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes.

Salads: The house special, Il Treno salad, caught my eye. An enticing mixture of dressed salad, crispy bacon, asparagus and mushrooms. Other British, Italian and Greek classic salads are also available. All are delightful.

Mains: A splendid array of meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, pasta and pizza freshly produced for you. The trout in parsley butter with almonds and white wine is very appealing. The fresh tagliatelle with salmon, peppers, onions and cream is also tasty.

Sid, the owner of the Sidings, is a people person. Friendly and convivial as a host he makes sure your time hereis perfect. He and his staff make all efforts to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable time is had by all.

Special Events at the Sidings

Greek Night happens once a month on a Friday. Ouzo as you arrive. Delicious 4 course meal. Live Greek music, dancing and traditional plate smashing! Call us for details.
